USC is ranked number 2 in the nation, then michigan at 3 and florida at 4. this sets up a big controversy for the computers to pick who plays for the national championship. this is stupid how the comps are gonna choose. its gonna get screwed up.

ya it doesnt really make sense that michigan loses to the number 1 rated team and usc lost to oregon state and usc is now in over michigan, but usc has to play ucla who is a very good team.

I'm pretty sure that USC had something like the 4th hardest strength of schedule, but I still believe that when your only loss is to the best team in the nation, on the road, by only 3, that you deserve to stay at number 2. This comes after a win against Notre Dame, who I can't think of one key opponent who they beat (basicly I'm saying they're overrated). I hate the computers, and I think everyone in the nation wants to see a Michigan-OSU rematch.

I just don't understand how USC can be ranked higher than Michigan when their loss was to unranked Oregon State by 2 while Michigan's only loss was to the best team in the nation by 3. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah, and Michigan State's loss by 3 was in a hostile environment in Ohio State, and USC lost AT HOME.

It's still possible UCLA will beat USC. UCLA beat Oregon State, the team that beat USC, so... Not that it means much, just a little thing to show that it's a very good possibility for an upset.

No, they're not very good. They're 6-5 but they've played some hard teams this season. # 18 Oregon, #10 Notre Dame, #10 California, and now #2 USC.
They lost all those games, so if you don't count those games vs very good teams, they'd be 6-3.
